Mission statement:  To engage, support, and promote women who study legislative politics.

We define legislative politics broadly to include legislatures, legislators, legislative elections, legislative representation, and relations between legislatures and other branches of government. We embrace legislative scholars and scholarship from  wide-range of perspectives. We study a wide variety of lawmaking bodies—the U.S. Congress, U.S. state legislatures, comparative legislatures at the national and subnational level, and international legislatures.
